What Exactly is the ISEE test and what is its purpose?
ISEE stands for Independent School Entrane Examination (ISEE Test For Short)
Independent schools are generally privately funded and not owned or funded by government or other organisations such as religious parties. Independent or private schools use the ISEE test to determine the standard of existing education or IQ of potential students to decide whether or not to grant the student access to their private school.
Generally private schools have a much higher standard of education than public schools and with the large number of applicants applying for entry they can be very choosy as to who they accept because it is not possible for them to accept all as there are such high numbers of pupils who apply every year, so the ISEE test is used a fair way to assess a students academic abilities in order to decide who to accept.
There are in fact three versions of the test, one for those who are applying for 5th and 6th grades, another for students applying for 7th and 8th grades, and one for students applying for 9th through 12th grades.
Over 80% of applicants to private schools are rejected. The ISEE TEST HOW TO PASS
